The top-ranked Penn State wrestling team was reeling a bit by an injury to national champion Jason Nolf on Sunday right before the intermission in a match at No. 18 Rutgers.
Nolf was leading Rutgers junior John VanBrill, 5-4, when he suffered an apparent knee injury and was forced to injury default from the 157-pound match. Nolf had trouble putting any weight on the leg as he walked off the mat.
Concern for Nolf's future was paramount, but also the six points gave Rutgers a 15-6 lead with five matches to go.
Penn State captured all five matches coming out of the break to win, 25-15.
