No. 6 Rutgers men’s lacrosse (7-2) is having its best season in years and the good news continued on Thursday. Seniors Adam Charalambides and Connor Kirst were included among 25 candidates for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the top player in collegiate lacrosse.
Charalambides leads Rutgers with 35 goals and 12 assists for a team high 47 points. He is currently fourth nationally with a 3.89 goals per game average and has scored at least four goal in five of nine games this season. His 5.22 points per game average is ninth nationally. His performance last weekend on Saturday to secured the win over Johns Hopkins moved him into fourth place all-time at Rutgers with 140 career goals.
