There are plenty of things one can learn just by reading John McNulty’s coaching bio. The Rutgers offensive coordinator was a walk-on safety on Penn State in the late 1980s.
The 49-year old Scanton, Pa., native has been an assistant coach for 27 years, working for three college programs over a total of 12 years and six NFL clubs over 15 seasons.
He has coached quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends in addition to serving as offensive coordinator for Rutgers during a five-year stint in the mid-to-late 2000s.
But for all that is known in McNulty’s bio, there are plenty of things Rutgers fans probably don’t know about the man who will be calling offensive plays for the Scarlet Knights next season.
