Kyle Flood has some explaining to do.
The Rutgers football coach is expected to speak to media at noon today for the first time since he was suspended three games and fined $50,000 by the school on Sept. 16, after an investigation determined he initiated impermissible contact with a faculty member regarding a player’s grade.
Since then, Flood has run the program six days a week, but handed over gameday coaching and all media responsibilities to assistant head coach Norries Wilson.
Flood will be back on the sideline Saturday at Indiana in a crucial swing game for Rutgers, but first he will be in front of the podium to face tough questions after mostly declining comment citing an ongoing investigation and releasing a prepared statement ever since controversy began.
