3 Rutgers track stars take gold Big Ten championships

When Gabrielle Farquharson decided to return to Rutgers for her graduate-senior campaign, the track star set out to repeat as Big Ten champion.

One year after becoming Rutgers' first Big Ten champion in any sport, Farquharson won the 200-meter race at the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday for the second year in a row.

"It feels pretty great,'' Farquharson told the Big Ten Network after the race. "I'm really grateful for being able to go back-to-back.''

On the men's side, graduate senior Corey Crawford and freshman Izaiah Brown produced individual Big Ten titles, with Brown taking gold in the 400-meter race and Crawford winning the long jump.
