It felt a little bit like the good twist of fate Chris Laviano probably was due.
San Diego State's coaching staff wanted Laviano to visit campus and the former Rutgers quarterback seeking a graduate transfer already had a trip to the city on the February calendar for his cousin's wedding.
Laviano, who said he was contacted by "a bunch of other schools," committed before the visit ended.
"I just told them, 'Honestly, if you guys are going to give me a chance, I'm all-in here. I love everything about this place,'" Laviano told NJ Advance Media.
