15 Rutgers-Texas State film review observations, including John McNulty's best play call

How would the kid react?

That was the question on most minds inside HighPoint.com Stadium midway through the third quarter after Texas State’s Kordell Rodgers picked off Rutgers quarterback Artur Sitkowski, jumping a late throw to the flat, and ran it back 51 yards for the Bobcats’ first (and only) touchdown of the day.

It was the true freshman’s second interception in five pass attempts, and what was a breezy day at the ballpark suddenly had a smidge of doubt in the air. The pick-six cut Rutgers’ lead to 21-7 with about 22 minutes of game time remaining, more than enough for Texas State to believe it had an opening to make something happen.
