I perfectly understand that the NFL is a business, the symbol of the dollar meaning infinitely times more than any symbol or sign that a fan brings through the gates on game day. It’s why the league hosts its annual International Series of games, which displays a trio for the second season in a row.
So I can see why the idea of a full-time NFL franchise in London, or another major European city, sounds appealing to the league. It opens the door to a new market, opening the wallets of a new fanbase.
