Stealing home is a lost art these days, so when it happens in late, go-ahead fashion, you should take notice.
No. 1 USCB and No. 4 San Diego State were knotted at three in top of the eighth inning of their Lake Elsinore Regional opening-round game on Friday when the Aztecs’ Steven Pallares got the green light to steal home.
The pitch was high and Pallares slid under the tag in dramatic fashion for the go-ahead run. SDSU pulled off the upset, 4-3.
