A few weeks ago, we presented you the trailer for “Bleed for This”, starring Miles Teller and Aaron Eckhart, showcasing a “based on a true story” boxing film that could possibly find its way to the Oscar party next winter.
Now, a new challenger, entitled Hands of Stone, has entered the ring, and from the looks of its own trailer, it’s going to be a great battle of the “Best Boxing Movie of 2016” belt.
Written and directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz, an award winning Venezuelan filmmaker, Hands of Stone will tell the story of Roberto Duran, a Panamanian lightweight fighter who earned the nickname “Manos de Piedra”, which, in English translates to the film’s title.
