In Louisiana Lafayette’s regional matchup against Houston on Sunday, Ragin’ Cajuns third baseman Tyler Girouard rewrote the book on bat flipping.
After getting drilled by Houston pitcher Aaron Fletcher, Girouard flipped his bat so far it would make Yasiel Puig weep (or someone sitting on the third base line weep, as it likely hit them and made them cry in intense pain).
Seriously, “emphatic” only begins to describe this flip, and after a hit by pitch, no less. Even after a home run this would be impressive, but after getting drilled, it’s otherworldly.
ULL went on to win the game, 2-1, and sweep the region to set up a Super Regional matchup with LSU.
