ESPN’s Keith Olbermann is not one to shy away from controversy, but his latest rant feels very misguided.
On Friday, Olbermann said viewers should boycott - yes, boycott - the 2015 NFL Draft because of the sexual assault allegation against Jameis Winston (Olbermann also said viewers should boycott the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight because of Mayweather’s history with domestic violence). It’s unclear why we should punish the NFL when Winston was never charged with a crime or how that would be fair to the hundreds of other players that will be picked in the following week, as this call for a boycott feels very forced and half baked.
