Like you and me, British stand-up comic/actor Eddie Izzard, is very much looking forward to the Games of the XXXI Olympiad, which held its Opening Ceremonies last night in Rio de Janiero.
The Olympics afford us a chance to watch sports we would never, not in a million years, ever watch otherwise. Sure, you have the staples like basketball, swimming and gymnastics, all of which are to the general public’s liking. However, the deeper we go into the games…heck, even at their earliest onset…we’re treated to events that not only we would never watch if not further provoked, but ones we haven’t even heard of.
