Denver lacrosse’s Wesley Berg really wanted that championship berth.
In the fourth quarter of the NCAA championship semifinal on Saturday against No. 1 Notre Dame, Berg pulled off an insane behind-the-back goal, which he sent on a no-look bounce into the Irish net.
That score put Denver up, 10-6, but Notre Dame would rally and send the game to OT. However, Berg hit the game-winner as well, giving Denver the 11-10 victory and setting up a championship matchup against Maryland.
