There was a ferocious battle in the light heavyweight title between Daniel “DC” Cormier and Anthony Johnson Saturday night. The two went head to head and it eventually ended with a submission by Cormier.
This was the first time the two faced off since UFC 187 in which Cormier defeated Johnson here as well. Johnson started off strong in the first round as he caught Cormier in what appeared to be a fatal knee to the nose. But Cormier, being who he is, stuck it out the rest of the round.
The second round wasn’t as nice to Johnson.
