You’ve probably seen the 1999 cult classic Office Space by now (and if you haven’t, what is wrong with you?).
Mike Judge’s enduring commentary on the mundanity of the 9-to-5 American desk job tells the story of Peter Gibbons, an office drone stuck in career purgatory, who is induced into a state of permanent relaxation when his hypnotherapist dies mid-session.
Peter proceeds to be an even worse employee than before, blowing off weekend work commitments, coming in late, playing computer games and taking down the wall of his cubicle, among other insubordinations.
In the ultimate jab at third-party consultants, Judge has a pair of goons named Bob and Bob, brought in to help Initech downsize, promote Peter for showing leadership.
