Regardless of what many in the media might have you believe, Phil Jackson doesn’t have to prove his basketball knowledge to anyone. He has about 47 Championship rings; and in sports, rings are trump cards whether we like it or not.
Still, the current President of the New York Knicks didn’t get the nickname “zen master” by always following the accepted logic of the general public. He’s been known to go pretty rogue in terms of his philosophies on life and basketball, and he’s certainly no stranger to the use of extreme condescension. But sometimes it seems like he may be a little more self-aware than he lets on.
