In my family, it’s not really the winter sports season until one of us has to be rescued from a ski lift with a tarp. But this was a first for 11-year-old Tristan Stead of Seattle, who was skiing in Whistler, British Columbia, with his aunt and uncle when things went oh so wrong.
Stead was about to board the lift when he dropped one of his poles, as he bent down to retrieve it, the chair “hit me in the butt”, and his uncle grabbed him by the jacket, and “I just went up”, according to KOMO News.
