Until now, the greatest returns from the dead have been The Hound in Game of Thrones, the Boston Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS vs. the Yankees, and Matt Damon in The Martian. But this tops them all.
Creator Larry David has announced that Curb Your Enthusiasm is coming back. The HBO series, an improvisational, more neurotic Seinfeld-esque comedy, ran for eight seasons between 2000 and 2011, producing 80 episodes.
If you’re not that familiar with the show, trust me, this is great news. Episodes that immediately come to mind are The Christ Nail, in which Larry steals his father-in-law’s treasured replica crucifixion nail to complete a household chore; Car Periscope, where Larry invests in a periscope device for cars to check out the road ahead during traffic jams; and The Ida Funkhouser Roadside Memorial, in which he steals flowers and perfume from a friend’s memorial for his deceased mother because he forgot to buy a gift for his wife.
