Missouri DE Shane Ray is a projected top-10 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Or at least, he may have been.
Ray was given a misdemeanor citation for marijuana possession on Monday morning, just three days before the first round of the draft. According to ESPN.com, Missouri State Highway Patrol pulled him over on I-70 at 5:46 A.M. and “detected the smell of fresh—not burning—marijuana, and after conducting a search found a “personal amount” in one of the car’s compartments.”
He was also cited for failure to drive in the right lane of the highway and issued a warning for speeding.
