Texas A&M Chancellor Takes Sly Dig at Texas: TAMU “Doesn’t Require Numbing Effects of Alcohol”

Texas and Texas A&M’s on-field rivalry is currently on hold. Away from the gridiron, however, it’s still going strong.

In light of Texas allowing the sale of alcohol at football games, A&M chancellor John Sharp has thrown down the gauntlet. From TexAgs Radio’s Gabe Bock:

A&M chancellor Sharp on alcohol at events: “Our athletic program has not reached the point where we require the numbing effects of alcohol.”

Fightin’ words indeed. At least one Texas fan (and probably plenty others) pointed out that it hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing for the Aggies lately.
