Tarasenko to make his season debut for the Blues

Vladimir Tarasenko is set to make his season debut Saturday for the Blues versus the Kings. Tarasenko has missed the first 24 games this season after undergoing shoulder surgery for the second consecutive season. Before suffering the injury, Tarasenko had scored at least 33 goals in five straight seasons, including double-digit power-play goals in each of those seasons. Whether or not Tarasenko immediately returns to the top line remains to be seen. Still, even if the Blues elect to play it safe initially with Tarasenko, it won’t be long before he is playing 18-20 minutes per game and should return to the top power-play unit immediately.
