With the NHL Trade Deadline just a couple of days away, teams are starting to make moves to strengthen their playoff roster or sell off any valuable pieces. In the Tampa Bay Lightning’s case, they are adding pieces to bolster their roster for a successful cup defense.
The Bolts were involved in a three-team trade today, acquiring defensemen David Savard and Brian Lashoff from the Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings. Tampa traded their first-round pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and a third-round pick in the 2022 draft to the Blue Jackets and their fourth-round pick from this year’s draft to the Wings.
