Cue up “Rocky Top” because after a decade of purgatory, Tennessee football is FINALLY back.
It’s been a brutal 10 years for Volunteer fans, as they have witnessed Philip Fulmer’s demise, Lane Kiffin’s circus show and Derek Dooley’s… whatever that abomination was.
College football is just better when huge, traditional powers are good. Even with no affinity to the state or university of Tennessee, I have empathy for Vols fans who have gotten their hopes up year after year only to have them trampled on each fall.
[The only positive in all this has been being able to watch Tennessee games in recent years without “Rocky Top” on a constant loop.
