Coaches will try anything to get the referees on their side. They scream their heads off, they’ll intimidate, and they’ll even beg if they think it will work. Last night toward the end of the Warriors/Thunder game, Russell Westbrook clearly traveled. Westbrook knew it, Steve Kerr knew it, hell the entire world besides referee Monty McCutchen knew it.
The NBA, almost immediately released a statement, basically claiming that McCutchen and the other refs on the crew had the call wrong.
