There were arguably no greater theatrics in the Big 12 Championship Game’s brief 15-year history than in 1998, when Texas A&M upset Kansas State in a double-OT thriller.
The Aggies erased a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime, capped by a touchdown pass to Sirr Parker — he scored the two-point conversion as well — with 1:05 left.
A&M and K-State exchanged field goals in the first overtime. Wildcats kicker Martin Gramatica hit another in the second OT before the Aggies answered with another touchdown pass to Parker, who just cleared the plane while getting dragged down for the game-winner.
