Barrett became a free agent after the Buccaneers chose to place the franchise tag on Chris Godwin, but he will reportedly be heading back to Tampa Bay. Agent Drew Rosenhaus told veteran NFL reporter Josina Anderson that the deal is for four years and $68M, which works out to an average annual value of $17M. There are also incentives built into the contract that could push the annual figure up to $18M, while $36M is guaranteed.
With Barrett and Godwin both under contract, the Bucs will bring back virtually the same squad the won the Super Bowl last season.
