In a situation mirroring one of the most infamous predicaments of the Park and Recreation’s Jerry Gergich, whose name was revealed to be Garry over the course of the series, the kicker for the Seattle Seahawks recently revealed that even before he made his name as one of the NFL’s top kickers, his name has been spelt wrong.
Oh, it’s not his potentially worth a lot in Scrabble last name, Hauschka, that’s causing problems. But rather, his first name.
Hauschka, participating in a pet-related segment for Q13, the local Seattle FOX affiliate, recently revealed that the correct spelling of his first name is actually “Stephen”, rather than Steven, which is his listed name on NFL and Seahawks media materials, as well as his name on the official Seahawks roster.
