Ryan Fitzpatrick Plans on Playing in 2021

ESPN Denver’s John Clayton previously reported that he thought Fitzpatrick would retire, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Monday that Fitzpatrick still plans on playing in 2021. Rapoport added that Fitzpatrick should have a solid free agent market, and there are certainly a handful of teams that could use the veteran in the quarterback room.

The Broncos are one of those squads. They have been linked to DeShaun Watson, but they could be in the market for a young QB in the draft if they’re unable to trade for the disgruntled Texans’ star. Fitzpatrick could serve as the perfect bridge quarterback for any team trying to groom a young quarterback, similarly to how the Dolphins used Fitzpatrick last season.
