Russian wrestler Roman Vlasov won his second Olympic gold medal Sunday despite a scary moment in his semifinal match.
Wrestling in the 75kg Greco-Roman competition, Vlasov was leading Croatia’s Bozo Starcevic when Starcevic clamped his arm around Vlasov’s neck and choked him out.
The referee saw that Vlasov had lost consciousness and halted the match.
The match continued after Vlasov came to and he won to advance to the gold medal match.
In the gold medal match, Vlasov defeated Denmark’s Mark Madsen.
