Despite being 11-17 and at the bottom of the Southeast Division, the Washington Wizards are finally showing some life as they’ve been able to put together a five-game winning streak. The Wizards have as good of a chance as any team to make the playoffs this year, considering that the NBA will have a play-in tournament for teams seeded from seventh to tenth.
Washington’s recent run has given the team some optimism, which has probably led to Russell Westbrook’s pronouncement that he’ll no longer take a day off during back-to-back games. Westbrook is close to averaging a triple-double for the season with 19.
