R.J. Hampton Expected to Enter Health and Safety Protocols

ESPN reported earlier on Sunday that someone on the Nuggets would be entering the health and safety protocols, and the Denver Post’s Mike Singer reports that Hampton is that player. He is expected to be sidelined through the All-Star break.

Hampton hasn’t seen much playing time this season, but his role has been amplified recently given the Nuggets’ injury situation. He played 9.2 minutes Friday vs. the Thunder, and he’s averaged 17.4 minutes over his past 10 games. Look for Monte Morris and Facu Campazzo to soak up some of those minutes Monday vs. the Bulls, especially since Paul Millsap and JaMychal Green remain out of the lineup.
