Earlier this week, a hacker into the official Twitter account of the NFL repeatedly declared the death of commissioner Roger Goodell, though it was later reported the 57-year-old commander-in-chief of the league was alive and well.
However, another death has struck the league….and this time it’s for real.
Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton, speaking on Charlotte radio station WFZN-AM, announced that he was retiring the “Dab”, a popular touchdown celebration that became a polarizing national phenomenon. Newton scored 45 total touchdowns last season, en route to a 15-1 regular season record and an appearance in Super Bowl 50.
