Blake Murphy of The Athletic Toronto reports that the Raptors will again be short six players when they take the court on Thursday against the Bulls. Fred VanVleet, Rodney Hood, and Jalen Harris are battling hip injuries, Kyle Lowry has a toe infection, Patrick McCaw is dealing with a knee injury, and Paul Watson is in the league’s COVID-19 protocols.
It’s certainly been a disappointing year for Toronto, who had hopes of returning to the playoffs for an eighth straight season.
At 20-31, the Raptors have just three wins in their last 17 games, and they trail the Bulls by two games for the final spot in the playoff play-in tournament.
