Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports that Kyle Gibson is in line to return to the Texas Rangers’ rotation on Friday when they host the Tampa Bay Rays.
After getting off to a hot start this season, Gibson picked up a groin injury which kept him sidelined for the last two weeks. He’s yet to lose a decision in his 10 starts as he’s 3-0 with a 2.24 ERA and 1.01 WHIP.
He’ll be thrown right into the fire against a Rays team with the best record in the American League at 36-22.
In his career, Gibson is 5-5 against Tampa Bay with a 4.
