For some reason Popular Mechanics tried offering some college football insight in its latest issue. It didn’t go so well.
The magazine noted the start of the college football season on its monthly calendar, which is a nice, if random shout-out, but overplayed its hand by writing for September 3rd: “College football season gets underway tonight with the University of Michigan in a cupcake game against Utah.”

If you’re reading this, we don’t need to tell you Utah, who beat Michigan in Ann Arbor last season, is far from a cupcake.
