For some reason Popular Mechanics made a foray into college football in its September issue, reminding readers to tune in September 3rd for the start of the college football season. Before you could say “wut? why?”, they went and called Utah a “cupcake” opponent for Michigan.
If you’ve found your way over to Lost Lettermen (and I’m glad you did, dear reader!), you know as well as I do that this is stupid. Utah beat Michigan resoundingly in Ann Arbor last year and is a 5.5-point favorite over the Wolverines in Salt Lake City. They’re not a cupcake; they’re not even underdogs.
