A criminal complaint has been made against the Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans, ESPN reports. This complaint is in addition to the 20+ civil lawsuits that have been brought against Watson. On Friday, the Houston Police Department stated that they will be conducting an investigation and would have no further comment.
Watson has been a big news story this offseason, but now it’s for all the wrong reasons. Initially, all the talk was about Watson demanding to be traded away from the Texans, but that has been put on the back burner for now. The Texans, for their part, have vehemently denied that they have any interest in trading Watson, and now with all of these allegations, they may not be able to get the haul expected in a Watson trade anyway.
