It’s only fitting that Patrick Ewing led the Georgetown Hoyas back to prominence on the court he spent most of his time terrorizing opponents on. The Hoyas upset the 17th-ranked Creighton Bluejays in the Big East Championship game at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.
Georgetown tipped-off as 8.5 underdogs against Creighton but used a 46-8 run to create some distance between themselves and the Bluejays. Needless to say, there was no looking back. Jahvon Blair made a three-pointer at 5:33 of the first-half to put the Hoyas up 21-18, and the Hoyas led the rest of the way.
