In his first game as an Oregon Duck after transferring from FCS Eastern Washington, QB Vernon Adams took a brutal cheap shot from former teammate and LB John Kreifels.
It’s anyone’s guess whether the hit was malicious, although Kreifels egging on the crowd as they booed him while he was leaving the field after an ejection doesn’t help.
Either way, Adams appeared to be OK after a trip to the locker room and got the last laugh with a 61-42 victory with his new team.
