Here's "Inside the NBA" star Kenny "The Jet" Smith about to get into a cab in NYC yesterday ... only to get turned down.
The cabbie says he was finished with his shift. It was 2:48 PM.
When asked why he thinks he was rejected, Smith says, "I guess he didn't like money."
BTW, it was Kenny's birthday yesterday.
