Notre Dame senior DL Sheldon Day may have had the moment of the week in college football, and it had zero impact on the outcome of his game game.
It was Senior Day in South Bend and Day’s mother was waiting to regale him at midfield. As Day entered, however, his mother met him halfway. She just couldn’t wait.
There they exchanged a secret handshake and a big hug.
