Jorge Polanco of the Twins is out of the starting lineup Saturday, NBCSportsEdge.com reports. Polanco is dealing with discomfort in his ankle, the same ankle he had surgery on during the offseason. He won’t play until Monday at the earliest and could hit the injured list.
The Phillies recalled Spencer Howard to start Saturday, NBCSportsEdge.com reports. Howard is one of the top prospects for the Phillies. He had three starts earlier this season but only threw nine innings. Howard will be on a pitch count of about 75.
