The Jayhawks haven’t lost in nearly two months, having beaten Austin Peay (105-79) and UConn (73-61) in the first two rounds of the NCAA tourney. Maryland, meanwhile, struggled to beat South Dakota State (79-74) and had its hands full in the first half before taking control and beating Hawaii (73-60), behind Melo Trimble’s game-high 24 points.
