The Boston Celtics’ masterplan was going swimmingly until it wasn’t. Apparently GMs don’t want the Brooklyn Nets’ draft picks nearly as much Danny Ainge anticipated. Luckily, the Golden State Warriors offseason moves have crushed the rest of the Western Conference’s championship hopes, creating something of a selling season for franchises looking to retool for a time when Kevin Durant and Steph Curry aren’t playing together for 38 minutes a game.
According to The Sporting News, one of those teams is the Los Angeles Clippers, who are reportedly in talks with Boston to acquire the picks in exchange for remaining two years, $42 million of Blake Griffin’s contract.
