Besides Laremy Tunsil, the story of the draft last night was the precipitous fall of Myles Jack. Arguably the best defensive player in the NFL Draft, Jack’s draft stock has been derailed by a troublesome knee. He tore his meniscus back in December and seemingly hasn’t fully recovered. Reports came out after the medical re-check of his knee that at some point Jack would need microfracture surgery on his knee, a procedure that most NFL players have trouble ever coming back from. Due to the worry about his future, Jack was not drafted in the first round.
To be fair to the NFL teams, quotes like this from Jack would not be all that comforting.
