Mookie Betts was nailed with a 95 MPH heater in the ninth inning of the Dodgers 4-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners last night. Betts was down on the ground in obvious pain after taking the Rafael Montero pitch to the inside of the forearm.
He did stay in the game but not for long as the next batter, Corey Seager, grounded into a double-play to end the game. Manager Dave Roberts mentioned there was a lot of “soft tissue” on the right forearm after the game, but they wouldn’t have a clear status update on Betts until he gets to the stadium today.
