OK, so when Discovery Channel first announced that Michael Phelps would be racing a shark to kick off Shark Week, no doubt some dumb people thought that he would be in the same water as a real shark. As for myself, I figured that it might be a tank with some sort of partition, or separate races in the same water, later put together.
But turns out it was a simulated shark. And Phelps lost. People were underwhelmed.
