The Mets season has gotten off to a slow start. They’ve struggled when they’ve been on the field, losing three of their first five games, including two games where Jacob deGrom allowed just one run over 14 innings. They’ve also had their fair share of games postponed. Their entire first series of the year was postponed after the Nationals had multiple players test positive for COVID-19, and their series finale vs. the Marlins was rained out in bizarre fashion on Sunday. The game started on time despite pretty heavy rain, but the umpires called for the tarp to be put on the field after Marcus Stroman threw just nine pitches.
