Finding a student-athlete’s phone number and texting him vitriol is a popular, yet unfortunate practice in 21st-century college sports. Having to apologize when your enemy becomes your friend? Awkward…
Maryland’s Rasheed Sulaimon took the brunt of such trash talk from Terps fans while he was at Duke, but since he arrived in College Park, the same fans have had to go back on their one-time hate. From DC Sports Bog’s Scott Allen:
“Back when I played for Duke, we played here my freshman year and I guess my number leaked and a lot of fans hassled me or whatever, and I kept the same number,” Sulaimon told Comcast SportsNet’s Rob Carlin and Daniel Martin.
